Fundamental Movements are the basic training and are necessary for
sparring and patterns.
Patterns training actually places the student
in a hypothetical situation where he must avail him/herself to defense,
counter-attack, and attack motions, against several imaginary
opponents, it provides the practitioner with flexibility,
coordination, balance and becomes a conditioned reflex movement.
Dallyon training will help one learn how to condition his body while
at the same time toughen her/his attacking and blocking tools.
Self
defense is an advanced training. It will teach the practitioner how to
make use of his/her opponent’s momentum and force, how to release from
grabbing and choking.
Sparring is the physical application of attack
and defense techniques gained from pattern and fundamental exercises
against actual moving opponents under various situations. It enhances
courage, tactics, maneuvers, coordination, agility and peripheral
vision. All forms of Taekwon-Do provide a great cardio workout.
